Beyond Work
Family:
I've been married to Jennifer for 27 years.. We have a 20-year-old daughter (Addyson) who is a senior in college and a 17-year-old son (Colston) who is a senior in high school. Being a husband and dad is the most adventurous and significant ministry I’ll ever do.

Interests:
I enjoy spending time outdoors (from local trails to National Parks), sharing meals with friends (Mexican or BBQ if I'm choosing), diving into stories (through books & on screens), listening to music (on vinyl or live), and watching sports (Go CATS!).

Locations:
I grew up in Florida, lived in Texas and North Carolina and currently call Lexington, Kentucky home. Our family traveled the country in an RV for 6 months and will probably do it again at some point.

Training, Teaching/Preaching
I never intended to stand in front of groups of people and talk. Then I was forced to take a speech class my senior year of high school. Turned out that I was in the minority that actually enjoy public speaking.

The following summer, I started following Jesus and quickly discovered that He had wired and called me to teach and preach. I've been doing so ever since- sometimes as often as 50 weeks a year.

Speaking allows me to connect with others and share things that will bless them and help them lean more fully into the life God offers. I love that!

The videos on this page will give you a sense of my speaking style. They were captured during a weekly worship gathering for a college ministry I've been engaged with for 20 years.
(Please note the start time of the speaking portion below each video.)
